Activities

  • Public and media activities (for example to assist the hosting Association and school)

  • Discussions with politicians and, if required, negotiations with officials

  • Lobby on behalf of Steiner Waldorf education, and educational autonomy and pluralism

  • Act as voice for Waldorf education in international bodies as required

  • Disseminate internationally helpful material on legal and political matters and resource material

  • World conference of Waldorf teacher educators arranged under the auspices of the European Council (INTERTEC) and the Pedagogical Section at the Goetheanum, Dornach, Switzerland

  • Conferences on specific themes that relate to the curriculum, method and quality care

  • Assistance by way of advisory contacts, visits and correspondence if requested

  • A Newsletter (three times a year) distributed through each Association to schools and the internet

  • Pupil activities i.e. Fundraising (WOW - Waldorf One World) for impoverished or disadvantaged children, in conjunction with Die Freunde. Conferences on specific themes that relate to the curriculum, Class exchanges and cultural events (e.g. an European student orchestra, Consort Europa.)

  • Support and help develop the Alliance for Childhood

  • Support the collection and dissemination of research

  • Encourage international partnerships and projects between schools

  • Develop and strengthen the relationship between parents and schools
